ModernCraft Construction works out of Lenexa, Kansas, and the cities below are the ones immediately around our base — the places a crew can be on site without the drive ever shaping the schedule. Each page covers what the housing stock in that city actually is, neighborhood by neighborhood, and the work it tends to need.
Overland Park
From postwar ranches up north to Blue Valley two-stories.
Olathe
County-seat roots, three decades of growth rings.
Lenexa
Based here. Every Lenexa project is a short drive from the shop.
Leawood
Where the house itself sets the standard for the work.
Shawnee
Our neighbor to the north, from Nieman Road out to Monticello.
Prairie Village
A planned mid-century suburb, aging into its second remodel.
Stilwell
Acreage country at the south end of Johnson County.
These are further out, most of them across the state line, and we would rather say so than imply a crew is ten minutes from Liberty. What takes us there is the housing — prewar bungalows, lake-era subdivisions, old town squares — which needs a different kind of work than a newer Johnson County build. We schedule these projects as continuous runs rather than short visits, which suits the scopes anyway.
Kansas City
Prewar bungalows, Tudors and plaster walls worth saving.
Lee’s Summit
A railroad downtown wrapped in four decades of subdivisions.
North Kansas City
A small city with prewar bungalows and a working main street.
Liberty
A courthouse square, a college, and newer rings around both.
Beyond these cities
The pages above are where we have the most to say, not the whole territory. We work with homeowners within roughly 35 miles of Kansas City on both sides of the state line — the rest of Johnson County, and the ring of towns from Leavenworth County around through Belton, Raymore and Blue Springs. The full list is on the homepage.
If your city does not have a page here, nothing changes about the work: the same crew, the same fixed written quote, and the same free estimate. Tell us where the house is and what it needs, and we will take it from there.
